We now have shared parking lot next to the Hilton Garden Inn, across from The Page on Hanover Street. It can be accessed via High Street and driving between the Hilton Garden Inn and The Blue Mermaid. We also validate for the Hanover Street Parking Garage.

The Blue Mermaid is part of "The Hill", a cluster of historic homes located at High Street off Hanover Street behind the Hilton Garden Inn across from the Parking Garage and close to all the shopping and activities of downtown Portsmouth.

For GPS Directions: Enter 100 High Street which will take you to the Hilton Garden Inn. We are located directly behind the Hilton Garden Inn off High Street.

Directions from Portsmouth Traffic circle: Take 1 Bypass North.  Get off on Maplewood Avenue Exit.  At the stop sign take a right onto Maplewood Avenue.  Go through a set of blinking lights and at the second set of lights take a left onto Hanover Street.  After the Hilton Garden Inn take a left onto High Street.  After passing the Hilton Garden Inn take a left and continue straight to our parking lot at the bottom of the hill.

Directions from I-95: Take exit 7 towards downtown Portsmouth. Take a right onto Hanover Street then take a right onto High Street. The Blue Mermaid is the blue building with yellow lettering behind the Hilton Garden Inn.

*Northbound 95 exit 7 is currently closed for construction.  Northbound travelers should follow directions from the Portsmouth Traffic Circle*

Parking:

There are multiple parking options are available for Blue Mermaid island grill.  A shared parking lot rests beside the building.  Parking is permitted for Blue Mermaid patrons in yellow lined spaces. 

Other parking options include metered parking on the streets surrounding the Blue Mermaid.  These streets are named Hanover Street, High Street and Deer Street.  The Hanover Street parking garage is less than a block from the restaurant.  We are happy to validate parking, simply bring your parking stub.  (To get from the Parking Garage to the restaurant:  Exit Parking Garage from the Hanover Street Exit.  Walk across Hanover Street towards The Hilton Garden Inn.  Walk up High Street.  Just after the Hilton Garden Inn take a left.  The Blue Mermaid is the blue building located down the driveway.)
