Tuesdays: Honky Tonk Tuesdays
The Seldom Playrights play the country music of the bars, dance halls and honky-tonks across America, where people gather to celebrate the wins and forget about the losses. Songs by the likes of Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Marty Stuart, Steve Earle, Emmy Lou Harris, Lefty Frizell, Bill Monroe, Charley Pride, Doug Sahm and many others.
The Playrights are Jim Lamond (Susan Tedeschi, Mark Erelli, Joyce Andersen) on bass and vocals, Bruce Derr (Slaid Cleeves, The Molenes, Mainesqueeze, the Dixie Doughboys) on pedal steel guitar, Rob Kneeland (High Range) on drums and vocals, and Billy Loosigian (The Darlings, The Joneses, Willie Alexander) on Fender Telecaster guitar. Seasoned, road-tested musicians with a shared love of live country music. Catch them and their special guests every Tuesday as the Blue Mermaid Island Grill presents “Honky Tonk Tuesdays” starting at 7:30.
Wednesdays: Open Mic Night
Listen to some great local musicians in this laid back, very supportive environment. If your a player, come in and become a part of something very special. Starts at 8:30.
Thursdays: Green Lion Crew Reggae DJ
